Good morning WGW community!

Today I’m sharing our latest Couch Talk with my wife, where we discuss a recurring theme among ourselves and the people following the WGW method. Why is it so difficult to follow the path of least resistance? How can we get rid of a limiting definition of the logical VS irrational mind? We answer all these and more in the video below 👇

Plus: updates on my upcoming Retreat in Northern Italy - December 4-6 2026

Hope you enjoy!

Missed last week's insights on The Energy Map You Were Born With? Here's the link to catch up before diving into this week's edition.

Stop Thinking Logically To Overcome Limiting Beliefs. Watch 👇

Learning to trust the faster mind underneath, and clearing the limiting beliefs that keep overruling it, is exactly the focus of my upcoming Retreat in Northern Italy: The Ancient Science of Your Life Purpose.

Dates have been confirmed! Only 6 spots available. Friday to Sunday, 4 to 6 December 2026. The investment is €650, including accommodation and all meals.

Three days, fully offline, in a private villa on Lake Maggiore with Gisel Romero and me. We'll use Human Design and other ancient maps to decode the blueprint you were born with, then clear the inherited programs and limiting beliefs that keep you saying yes when your design is saying no. (Plus, fully optional, a plant medicine ceremony will be held on the night between Saturday and Sunday).

If this resonates, reply to this email.

No commitment yet. I'll send you the full details and we'll have a short call first, so we can both make sure this is the right space for you.

Quick answers from the video

What is the path of least resistance, and why does nature never get stuck?

In nature, flow is the default. A river does not plan its route through a valley, and when a droplet of water meets a stone it simply moves around it. No droplet has ever stopped the others for an emergency meeting about whether to dig through. The human mind does exactly that: it meets an obstacle, halts, and starts questioning why things are not going according to plan. Many of us were even raised on the idea that it is "your turn to hit the wall." The path of least resistance asks a different question: why smash the rock when you could go around it? Why Founders Who Learn to Surrender Will Lead the Next Era explores what working with that flow looks like.

Is it true your subconscious mind is 5,000 times faster than your conscious mind?

That is the comparison at the heart of this conversation. The rational, conscious mind handles around 40 bits of information per second, while the subconscious runs everything else, down to how many times your heart beats each minute, at roughly 5,000 times that speed. Between the two sits something like a membrane that filters what gets through, and that membrane is made of your limiting beliefs. So a belief like "you have to hit the wall" quietly shapes which options you even consider. Your Subconscious Runs 95% of Your Life goes deeper into how much of your day runs below awareness.

Why does following your instinct feel so wrong?

Because most of us were trained to believe that the opposite of logical is irrational, and that irrational is dangerous. The reframe at the center of this episode is that the opposite of logical is subconscious. When you act on instinct, a limiting belief can sound the alarm: careful, you are being irrational, something bad will happen. That alarm often borrows the voice of a parent or a teacher, because it was recorded from real experiences in childhood, and it keeps proving itself right. Why You Keep Proving the Same Childhood Beliefs Right explains how those recordings form.

How do you change direction without feeling like you wasted the last ten years?

That fear is the main reason people stay stuck. Two steps help. First, learn your energy profile, so you know which instincts and emotions are reliable signals for you. That alone is half the work. Second, each time you notice you are pushing too hard, stop and ask: what must be true in my belief system for me to keep going, even though this clearly makes no sense? Then reframe the past: those years were an investment that showed you what does not work. The Energy Map You Were Born With covers the energy profile side, and the Quantum Diagnostic Session and The Science of Healing & Enlightenment are where we do this work together.

Lightly cleaned for readability, with the opening and closing pleasantries trimmed. Speaker labels are deliberately left out because the auto-generated markers are unreliable, so Elisa's questions and Ale's answers run together as one conversation.

So where do we start from? Well, we have had some insomnia nights lately. So, sometimes when we wake up in the middle of the night, it's like, but Ale, I have this goal in mind and it's so clear in front of me and for some reason I keep getting stuck. Why is this happening? Okay. So, let me understand first one thing. How familiar are you with the path of least resistance? Explain it more. Okay. So let's start from nature and let's start from science. Let's start from physics.

In nature and the universe what we keep observing over and over and we don't need you know like special equipment to do it to go to the atomic level. We can just look at how the water of river flows through a valley. Everything flows. So literally the inner mechanism of nature of how all of this works out is that there is complete fluidity over all of the path. If a droplet of water encounters a stone, it just turns around and flows through it, right? Or actually beside it.

I don't think we have ever seen a droplet of water stopping all of the other droplets of water and making a meeting, an emergency meeting to say, "Oh my god, we have a stone in front of us. Shall we start digging through the stone?" Right? This is absolutely absurd. But yet our human mind is exactly how it works. It encounters a path. Well, it goes through a path.

It encounters a challenge and it starts to question not necessarily how to solve the challenge by just flowing through it and just letting it go how it how it is supposed to be but rather it stops creates you know a shareholders meeting and starts to question why it's not going according to plan. This is the main problem. It's funny because now that you're talking about this I remember know our parents I think everybody's parents saying well it's your turn now to hit the wall and it feels a little bit this idea of like well you have to hit the wall instead of going exactly instead of going around it which it's funny because maybe you don't have to hit a wall in the process of you know finding another solution.

So, does it resonate with what you're saying? It's lovely. It's lovely and I think I love the mental image because here we are going into another topic that we already touched in other videos but we can remind it very briefly and this is the topic of the limiting beliefs. Right? So the way that our mind works is that we only partially and very in a limited way operate in a rational conscious mindset. Right? This is the part of us that works the slowest.

We already mentioned the logical mind works at only 40 bits of information per second. So, compared to the subconscious mind, which is the part of us that processes all of the other information, including how many heartbeats you're supposed to beat per minute, this part of us works 5,000 times faster. And so, we have a layer in our mind between the mind, the conscious and the subconscious. We can kind of simplify like that.

Of course the details will be a little bit more tricky but imagine like a buffer that filters the information that go from one area to another like a membrane and this membrane contains all of the limiting beliefs. So the example that you just made is like you keep getting reminded that you have to hit a wall and this is part of the job. It's part of the path, which is of course true because it's inevitable that at some point you go through a rock. But why don't you just go around it? Why do you need to smash it?

So this is the part of the limiting belief. If you interested in that, go look at the video specifically on that. We're going to link it in the description. Let's talk about something that we haven't mentioned yet. And is the fact that how do we create all of these limiting beliefs and why do we get stuck into thinking that we have to follow a plan and it needs to be a logical rational plan in advance. This is coming from our education. It's coming from the society where we live in.

It's coming from all of the inputs that we received since we are children. And this is the issue. Water and nature do not have a plan. They instinctively naturally flow into the most immediate solution. Instead, for us, we have so much expectation of how things are supposed to go. Like we expect to have control over all of these details. And this is where we get stuck because we already also mentioned this in the manifestation video. Expectation is what collapses the field.

And you ask me what the what the heck does it even mean? The field the field is all of this energy that is moving throughout all of our interactions with the environment. We ourselves are made of energy. You are made of energy. Our two energies are already colliding. And these are made of natural they follow natural laws. They don't follow the logical brain. So what you're saying is Okay. So let's take a step back. So you're saying that if we follow nature or the way nature works.

So following our instincts, we might be much faster than actually focusing sitting having the shareholder meeting and think logically through the challenges. Yes. But it's not so simple otherwise everybody would do it and ourselves nobody let's say our job wouldn't even make sense because everybody would be enlightened right. So the reason why we get stuck thinking logically is that we have been first of all trained to think that thinking illogically so the opposite of logical is wrong.

We have been given the objective that the opposite of rational is irrational. The reality that we should be starting to switch you know as a mindset as a belief system is that the opposite of logical is subconscious. And as we just said subconscious works 5,000 times faster than the logical mind. So this is already the first limitation when we do this type of work.

And what happens is that when you go against the logic then your brain starts to play trick on you because if you have a limiting belief that every time that you try to follow your instinct is starting to switch the alarm on and he says careful you're being irrational. You're being irrational. Otherwise, your father is going to is going to punish you.

Otherwise, you're going to get this kind of bad result and bad outcome because as a proof of all the experiences in your past, you know, situations in life, you have recorded internally a belief that says when you act irrationally, it's bad. Something bad happens. And of course, it happens. So at the end of the day, we're saying to people to follow their instincts more, right? Yes. But it's not easy. How would you say they could do it? Like what's the way to follow our instincts? I think we lost it a little bit. No.

And so how can we take it back? Yes. So the very first point would be start to understand what is your energy profile. We already have videos about that. You can go also online on your own and find it by yourself. There are different tools that can allow you to understand what is your energy profile. But just in a nutshell, when you understand how your natural energy naturally flows, already you're done half of the job because you understand what is natively for you an instinct that is worth to follow, what is a good indicator, what is a good emotion for you to follow versus something not to follow.

Then when you start the work which is actually the rest of the half of the work but it takes so much longer because every single day of your life when you feel that something is stuck when you feel that something is really not working and you're pushing too hard for it stop and already stopping is a very you know big challenge because you're pushed to think no I need to continue I need to continue I need to go harder when you stop and You notice wait a second. What is it actually happening?

And you ask a couple of questions. What is it true about the current situation that I believe on that is worth to continue otherwise would happen X, Y, Z? We have a very specific flowchart at Wholegrain Wisdom. This is the whole work that we do with the community. But trying to kind of give some tips already. Now when you ask the question of what must be true in your belief system in order for you to continue this even though it clearly makes no sense, you identify what is the limitation inside of your subconscious mind that is still pushing you to go farther even if you should not.

Or you can identify the fear of going from another side because for example you are going against what your parents taught you. Your parents your school taught you always to go this direction when something like this happened but instead you realize wait a second doesn't make sense. Well, for me, something that comes to mind is that, you know, there's maybe one path you've taken in life and you invested so much time, so much energy, so much effort over the last five to 10 years and one day you wake up after already quite some time that you see it being stuck and you're like, wow, if I change my path, am I wasting all this energy and effort and time that I put into it?

Yes. So that's scary. It's crazy. It's crazy scary. And that's the main reason why people don't change. I think you can only start when you reframe the point of view on this. They start to reframe it in the sense that all of this work that we have done so far, we need to be grateful for. It's not a waste because it made us realize what doesn't work. Right?

I imagine the very first times that I was getting into the kind of like job experiences back in the times during university and I kept going into jobs that I completely not I wouldn't say hated but I didn't like and I was going out from there and everybody was telling me well at least you discover what you don't like and it's normal and of course when you are at the beginning it's normal like it's acceptable for you to find things that you don't like But when you're later on in your life, it's a little bit harder because you need to question more and more of what you already done.

But if you already switch it and you say, "Wonderful, I invested I didn't waste, but I invested 40, 50 years of my life to finally understand this doesn't work anymore for me. Then I'm ready to move on. I'm not wasting. It's all experience that you bring in your baggage to say, I'm not going to make this mistake again. Well, so to put it together, I think there is also this idea of failure that we have to change in our life because in many cases we talk about I failed into X, Y and Z because it didn't work.

I got stuck. But actually what you're saying is like no, we have to change the mindset. It's not something that we have we have failed at. It's actually something that we have learned that is not so much aligned with our energy profile or where or like our path life path. So then if we had to kind of summarize it for people what would be the next steps like okay I'm I have understood that I'm stuck the first one and then what are the steps to kind of get I understand that I need to move more like nature.

I need to understand that nature doesn't think logically. It uses actually the much faster brain which is the subconscious mind. And I would close to answer the question of failure just by simply going back to our shareholders meeting of the droplets of water. Imagine how absurd you would be to think of a droplet of water crying because they failed to pass through a rock and they evaporated before they could get to the river. Would it even make sense to think about that? That's the whole point.
